Adobe Reader 8 is out...

This one is fast, convenient, and free! It’s easier now to access attachments and view comments, plus there is the “Read Out Loud” option.

The new Adobe Reader supports Windows Vista, Windows 2000 SP 4, Windows XP, Mac OS X, Solaris 9 and 10, AIX 5.3, HP-UX 11i v1 and v2, Debian and LSB 3.1, Red Hat, SUSE, Turbolinux, and more. But no support for Windows 98 and ME, which Foxit Reader 2.0 has.

Download Adobe Reader 8 here.

Lifehacker has an interesting post about using the Adobe Reader 8 as an RSS Reader

Cick >View > Review Tracker . In the Subscriptions window, click the RSS button. Then click the Subscribe button to add a feed.

The download size of Adobe Reader 8 is about 20 Mb, which is not a big handicap in the days of TB storage and broadband connectivity. But the Foxit Reader is only about 2 Mb.
